A Close Look At IPAB: Do We Need Another Independent Regulatory Agency?

The federal government has created more independent regulatory agencies than anyone can count –including the just-authorized 159 new agencies in The Affordable Care Act (ACA) and an oversight agency charged with determining how much care a doctor should provide to a patient. This agency is the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB).
