‘Copper’ Exchange Plans Could Save Money, Boost Enrollment

Adding “copper” plans to the menu of options sold through the Affordable Care Act’s insurance exchanges starting in 2016 would result in 350,000 additional U.S. residents enrolling in coverage and $300 million in deficit reduction over 10 years, according to a report by Avalere Health.
